LaDarian Sapp, 24, is charged with burglary with intent to assault, according to Bexar County online court records. He is being held in jail with bail set at $80,000.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Sapp went to the Motel 6 on Saturday and kicked down the door just before firing several gunshots.

Sapp’s girlfriend was in the room with another man and another couple, KSAT reported. Authorities said Sapp shot at the men as he entered the room but missed, the television station reported. One of the men then attempted to take the gun away from Sapp and was grazed in the head by a bullet, according to the arrest warrant.

Sapp then fled the area on foot, KSAT reported. The two men in the motel room also fled in a vehicle and were pursued by San Antonio police, the television station reported.

According to the arrest warrant, the driver of the vehicle had outstanding warrants and crashed into a chain-link fence. The affidavit did not detail the charges against the man, KSAT reported.

Police later interviewed the women from the motel room, and Sapp was identified as the shooter by his girlfriend, the television station reported.
