Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said a group of riders were speeding, weaving through traffic and blocking intersections Jan. 9 in North Fort Myers when the victim yelled at them, WBBH reported.

One of the riders got off his motorcycle around 3:15 p.m. and smashed the driver’s side view mirror.

“The group then turned their attention to the victim, who they beat with a large wrench, as well as their helmets, knocking him to the ground and repeatedly kicking him,” Crime Stoppers said.

A group of bystanders intervened, stopping the attack. The riders then fled.

The victim was severely injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.

A $3,000 reward is offered for help identifying the suspects.
