The already supremely talented Lady Gaga can add a new line to her resume (or whatever it is pop divas have. LinkedIn for the Stars?). Gaga’s a full-fledged actress now and a pretty good one based on the clips of her in the Machete Kills trailer.
“Straight up or with some flare,” Gaga coos during the trailer, oozing a deadly kind of sexy as La Chameléon, a vampy actress who knows her way around a gun.
When she made the big announcement back in July 2012, Gaga seemed completely thrilled by the opportunity, tweeting: “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress ln the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane.”
Now more than a year later, Gaga’s ready to grace the silver screen. “It's the premiere or [stet] MACHETE KILLS tonight my first acting gig! Can't wait for you to see it. #RodriguezDameForLife,” she tweeted October 2.
As an extra blood-spattered cherry on top of this gory-looking sundae, we get a listen to Gaga’s next single “Aura” during the Machete Kills preview. The song is as throaty and creepy and wonderful as we could hope from Mother Monster.
A lyric video for “Aura” is due out October 8, just three days before Machete Kill hits theaters on October 11. Then, exactly a month later on November 11, Gaga’s latest album, ARTPOP, is set to drop.
What did you make of Lady Gaga's acting? Totally terrific or should she stick with the singing? Sound off in the comments below.
