Interested in applying for the inaugural season of CSA-San Antonio? This subscription-based service aims to connect local San Antonio artists directly with patrons. Each selected artist will be commissioned to create 50 new works for the program. Fifty "shares" of local art will be sold to the first 50 patrons. Artwork will be delivered in a series of 3 community art parties. Additional items will add more value to the share - we're calling this the "bumper crop", riffing on the origin of our program, Community Supported Agriculture.Artists interested in applying for the program will be walked through the application process at this info session/workshop. Specific questions about how your artwork will fit within the scope of the project will be answered. Additionally, a "mini-workshop" for artists will teach you the finer points of responding to a Call for Artists. Topics covered will include: Crafting an Artist's Statement, Preparing Images for Online Submissions, and Pricing Your Work.Future workshops offered by Arts Mall - San Antonio will go into more detail on these topics and more, such as Promoting Your Work, Selling on Consignment, and Creative Commons.Membership in Arts Mall, at the $25 Artist level or higher, is required to apply for the CSA program. This annual membership is much more valuable to you than an application fee. Membership will entitle you to lots of learning and networking opportunities for an entire year. Arts Mall is about creating a community of business-savvy artists and art-savvy consumers/patrons.
