It is incredibly stressful to live with a dog that shows threatening or agressive behavior. There is often conflicting and confusing information on the web and from friends. Or you might have a dog that is very fearful, may hide from others, or spent the last training class sitting under a chair. This seminar covers common causes of fear-related and aggressive behaviors in dogs. You will learn to read and properly interpret your dog's body language. You will discover some immediate procedures you can do to keep both yourself, your dog and others safe. This seminar will show video examples of the most current state of the art behavior change methods, debunking common myths and ensuring you are confident about your next steps with your dog. This seminar will be most helpful to you if your dog is showing fearful or aggressive behavior toward unfamiliar people or other dogs. If your dog is primarily showing aggressive behavior toward family members only when food or toys are being taken, a private consultation with the trainers might be more appropriate for you and your dog.
LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME for this seminar so you can listen and learn without the distraction of your dog. This class meets the required pre-requisite for participating in the Reactive Dog class.
