The Alamo Heights High School Mulepushers are asking the community to help fill up a trailer with donations for Goodwill during a unique fundraiser that benefits both Goodwill and student programs.
The donation drive kicks off Goodwill's innovative new "Partners for Good" program, which gives community organizations an opportunity to meet fundraising goals by hosting a donation drive for Goodwill. In return, Goodwill will provide a trailer and attendants at the event and make a donation of up to $1,000 to the organization based on the amount of acceptable items collected.
The public is invited to bring donations of household items to the Alamo Heights High School parking lot on Saturday, Feb. 2 to help fill a Goodwill trailer. Acceptable donation items include computers and computer accessories; electronics; housewares; home décor; cookware and dishes; books; and toys.
All items must be in good, clean sellable condition. Donated items are re-sold at area Goodwill stores to support education programs and services that assist people in finding better jobs and building careers. All donors will receive a tax receipt for their donation.
