Membership in Premier Women’s Organization Open to All Ready to make 1,200 new friends while helping more than 60 organizations make a difference in San Antonio? Then we have just the thing for you: the Junior League of San Antonio, Inc., San Antonio’s premier women’s organization, is welcoming new members for the 2013-2014 membership year. With more than 1,200 members, the Junior League of San Antonio (JLSA) impacts more than 60 San Antonio non-profits and contributes more than 10,000 volunteer hours each year. An organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers, the Junior League has been active in San Antonio since 1924 and wants you to join their effort. Working together to fulfill the mission of the league, the women of the Junior League make meaningful differences in their city and while making new friends for life. Women interested in joining the Junior League may attend the informational meeting for prospective members: Wednesday, January 16 at 6:30 p.m. The session will be held at The Bright Shawl, the historic venue owned and operated by the Junior League, located 819 Augusta Street, central to historic downtown San Antonio. Learn about JLSA from JLSA President Debbie Callihan-Dingle and other JLSA members and enjoy refreshments during a fun, informative, casual meeting. If you would like more information about this event please email Heather Lancaster at admissions@jlsa.org. Prospective members must be 23 years old by March 31, 2013.
