On October 20, 2012, the Schertz-Cibolo Valley Area Genealogy Group will host a Family History Workshop at the Schertz Public Library, 798 Schertz Parkway Schertz, TX from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will celebrate the month of October as National Family History Month. There will be activities for all ages including a family history craft activity in the children’s area. The event will include many aspects of genealogy, such as software demonstrations, sample family searches, and an introduction to helpful genealogy forms. The Genealogy Group's goal is to foster an increased interest in family history and to heighten the community’s awareness of genealogy resources available to them through our local library and through the assistance of local genealogists.
