Shaquille O'Neal says he's serious about a career in law enforcement and says he plans to run for sheriff of Henry County, Georgia, in 2020. This wouldn't be his first brush with a law enforcement career. He:
"has been a deputy marshal in Lafayette, La., a reserve police officer in Florida, and he was sworn in as a sheriff’s deputy in Clayton County last year.
“It’s just a disconnect between people and police that I haven’t seen in a long time... The gap between law enforcement and communities is too spread out. The plan is to really preach accountability, to really preach respect and really teach to treat people as human beings.”MORE HERE
After raising concerns of child abuse over Angelina Jolie's casting process for children in her film, Vanity Fair is standing by their article. Apparently, Angelina has demanded a retraction, but the magazine is refusing. The passage in question read:
"they put money on the table and asked the child to think of something she needed the money for, and then to snatch it away. The director would pretend to catch the child, and the child would have to come up with a lie. ‘Srey Moch [the girl ultimately chosen for the part] was the only child that stared at the money for a very, very long time,’ Jolie says. ‘When she was forced to give it back, she became overwhelmed with emotion. All these different things came flooding back.’ Jolie then tears up. ‘When she was asked later what the money was for, she said her grandfather had died, and they didn’t have enough money for a nice funeral.’”
Angelina is defending the process. She's upset that the magazine made it seem like the money in question was real. Vanity Fair
