American Humane

Building a better, more humane world begins with the next generation. For more than 100 years, American Humane, the country’s first national humane organization, has been working to teach children the value of being kind to animals. Their humane education campaigns, including the “Be Kind to Animals Week®” have been the most successful in history. Now, American Humane has developed a new campaign called “Kindness100” to give kids (and their parents) four simple ways they can help improve the lives of billions of animals – from disappearing and endangered animals to farm animals to animals used in entertainment and the 6-8 million animals relinquished to U.S. shelters each year. The Kindness100.org website provides little tips that can make a big difference in the lives of the world’s animals. It also provides appealing and professionally prepared pre-K to Grade 5 humane education curricula for parents and teachers. Together we CAN build a more humane world.
